Just picked up my Sprigfield XD Tactical, to late in the day for me to go to the range, which I'll do tomorrow morning as soon as it warms up a bit.

Most 25 round magazines are pretty stiff to start with but loosen up with use. Try this next time you load it, place the base of the cartridge on top of the follower or top round just in front of the feed lips, push down enough to get the rim part way under the lips, then rotate the round as a lever, then push it to the rear. Here is a YouTube video on loading magazines. It is for a CMMG magazine, but the guys I shoot Tactical Rimfire with have tried it on their different magazines and it seems to work well for all.

Third Saturday is my favorite Saturday of the month

It was cool in the morning, but a thermal shirt and fleece jacket was enough, had to take off the jacket around 11, then put it back on at 1 the breeze kicked in. I wished I'd had a hat first thing in the morning my bald head was a bit chilled, could find my jeep cap yesterday morning. Then I should have but on my boonie hat, because I ended up a bit red on top. The Jan, Feb and March matches can be pretty raw specially with the wind. -
For those in the know are these actually available?

We had our monthly "Tactical Rimfire" match today. Lots of fun with good people. Anytime you can spend 5 hours at the range is great. One of these day I'll learn to hit some with a pistol more than 10 yards away. It is either that of get a AR style pistol in.22lr which takes 25 round magazines, then at least I can Spray and Pray.

Although I do have an airsoft style 1911 it only gets used in the winter in the garage. I like their selection of items.

I got a chance to go to the range today and proof some of the ammo I'd been reloading (.223 and .308). All functioned properly. I guess since I'm still fairly new to reloading, specially rifle ammo, I'm always relieved when it all works. Plus I sighted in a new tactical scope for my AR, however I'm not happy with the height of the mounting of it. Do you only co-witness red dots, can or should you do it with a magnified scope.

Is there a go-no go gage which will allow me to drop a round into it to see if it fits the chamber of whichever rifle or pistol I'm reloading ammo. If so what is it called? Using the gun in question is a pain and time consuming. I already measure maximum/minimum length. I measure the first 5 rounds of every batch, then ever 5th round after that. Just wondering if there was something which would measure both length and shoulders in one check.

Crimson Trace has a video on using them on pistols to shoot from any angle or position.

Naw not really if it is always on the gun and sighted in it does speed up verifying the different sighting systems you use are still true. Might have to get a laser for my Spike's tactical.

I think I want one of these, it looks like a fun plinker. Plus it is cheap enough o keep around for Grandkid visits and to take with me to our Tactical Rimfire matches for someone to use if a gun breaks.

Aren't there mounts to allow you to flip the reflex sight off to the side when not in use?

I called my ISP and I'm going to have to reset our modem, but can't do it until my wife is done working for the day.

Has anyone heard what is going on with Cheaper Than Dirt? Their website has been down since last week, I wanted to order some of the energy bars they carry. Post election overload?
