Ok, all the kids got their candy...I went and got my Smith & Wesson M & P 15/22 MOE ! I pick it up November 11th and I cannot wait !

Went to my local gun store yesterday so my son could trade in his GSG 5SD shroud for the compliany one and they had all their GSG rifles on sale ! The GSG 5 & the SD are 399.95 and the GSG AK47 are 309.95. I had to laugh because I have wanted a 5SD since we got my son his and now they are on sale and I don't have the money for it !!!

I took a look at the link but it's for the 25 round magazine. I live in California so I have to have the 10 round only>

I looked on the S & W website last night and couldn't find any 10 round magazines..was I looking in the wrong place maybe ?

My son and I just got back from our local gunstore and they finally got in the S & W MP 15/22. The guy at the store told me he's got about 10 in stock, so I am going back tomorrow to put a down payment on it ! I thought it was a pretty nice looking rifle in the pics I've seen, but it's nothing compared to actually holding it, I'm sold ! The only problem is they haven't gotten any magazines in yet, but that seems like a small problem for now, so I am not going to get to worried about it.

Hi everyone, I hope everyone had a great christmas and a happy new year. Well, My son turned about 9 shades of purple and crapped a llama when he opened his present. It was pretty funny, I was able to get him the extra mags and my wife wrapped them up but when he opened that up first, my wife tells him it was a mistake and that it was one of my presents. He actually apoligized to me for that ! We let him open the rifle and it was pretty funny ! He's still trying to figure out what accessories he wants but he is definately into this in a big way ! I am glad I have a hobby I can share with my son !

I can sympathize...my wife would rant and rave when the computer would say "hit any key to continue" and she would get mad because she couldn't find the "any" key ! I finally told her the space bar was also the "ANY" key. As far as printing goes, any delay between her hitting the print command and the actual start of the printing forces her to hit print at least 10 more times. Then she would get mad because it was really slow and get mad at me when I made her move so I could clear out the print queue ! Don't get me started on the radio presets in the car !

I am curious to see the price on this before I start to even consider it.

You can bet I will have the video camera out ! Also, my son and I are grateful for your support.

I picked up another 200 rounds when I picked up the gun. My gun stoe here in Culver City has a pretty good supply of 22 ammo, so I am not too worried about it yet. The magazines are a different story though. They told me they had to send all their Promag 10 round magazines back to the factory. Apparently, you can remove the butt plate and convert them to the hi-cap 22 round magazine without any tools, so they have none at the moment. I wanted to get him 2 more magazines before christmas.

Ok, my son was home from Camp Pendleton for Thanksgiving and after my wife and I went to bed, I left a "christmas list" on my computer desk for him to find that said my wife and I were buying him a new suit for christmas ! What he doesn't know is we picked up the GSG 5SD for him yesterday ! I can't wait to see his face on christmas eve (he's the newest Corporal in his unit, so he is duty NCO on christmas day !) This should be fun ! I hope everyone had a good thanksgiving.

I downloaded the form, but I can't find any other information on the S & W website. Do you have a link for it ?

I saw one at the store I bought my GSG-5, It was very nice looking. My son saw it and now he wants one, so I am going there on thursday and buying it for him for Christmas. I also saw that the price on my GSG-5 dropped 20$, I spoke to the store manager and he sold me a GSG factory 10 round magazine for 16$, so I don't feel too bad.
