  1. ;D called customer service at umarex and they sent me a new mag release pin. this must be a different pin than the one that origionally came with the rifle. installed it this weekend and it felt like a different rifle. the mags were seated firmly . cant wait to get it to the range.
  2. ;D Exactly the same issue I had when I bought mine. The solution. Tighten the bolt return screw about 10 full turns. Clean the weapon . Only load magazines with the bolt back, chamber open. Pop the magazine in from the bottom even though it may have seemed to have seated. I also use cci or federal ammo and factory rep I contacted said do not use remminton. ( I dont know why). This seemed to have worked for me. Good shooting.
  3. I called Umarex and they sent out a new magazine catch the next day. The service line was great.
  4. Hi all, I notice consistantly that 30 round mags fall out when rifle is being fired. The 10 round mags seem to stay in the rifle. Anyone have ideas how to corrent this issue. Thanks for all your help Mike. PS: loading the mags with chamber open is doesnt seem to help this issue.
  5. Cleaned mine last night and this was very helpful. The manual has less than complete instructions on cleaning. Mike.
  6. Hi guys, I also would like to know if its better to by a base rife and mod it ( which one?) or is it better to buy a reciever, barrel, trigger unit and match them. I am wanting to shoot distances a little more accuratly than my colt mp4 22lr. I also would like a rifle that fires very reliably. Thanks in advance. Mike
  7. Thanks for the help guys. I picked up some 10 round mags and those seem to seat better than the 30 round mags. Also the bolt needs to be open for the mags to seat at all. Thanks again for your help Mike
  8. Hi, Bought a new mp4 with nice scope etc and love the gun. Only one issue : it will not feed ammo. Adjusted the bolt speed but no difference. Am trying different ammo. Specific issue is rounds tend to hit ingress to barrel on the tip at an angle where it dents the lead which sometimes bends the round. The rounds do not seat well and I get alot of misfires. I am thinking this may be due to magazines. I have two 30 round mags now. One seems to have less problems than the other but both have same issue. Is thier some particular thing I can do to get the mags to seat in the rifle. At times the mags fall out on own while i am fireing. Thanks a bunch MIke
