  1. 1st post, BTW... Anyway, about a month ago, I bought a Remington Golden 525 pack (limit one) at Cabela's for about $24. Yesterday, I picked up 2 boxes (the limit) of CCI Velocitor for about $11/ box. Other than that, I haven't seen any around. My wife and I went to the range a couple weeks ago and sent about 300 rounds down range. She loves to shoot her Baretta U22 Neos and it's tough not to put at least 3-4 mags downrange with my M&P 15-22. Now that she's aware of the scarcity, she's worried about going to the range. Hopefully, things are loosening up. Don't really see it yet. I'm working on reloading a batch of .45's. Next, .357's. I probably won't even bring the .22 to the range next time.
  2. Thanks for all the great replies everyone -- I'm psyched about getting my 15-22.
  3. Thanks for the positive response. The judiciary hearing is actually tomorrow, Tues, Jan 26. FS2KSTD, glad to hear you took action. I called mine before my original post. I also emailed a bunch of gun owner friends and from what I understand, some of them forwarded my email. Ammo smurf, since the hearing is tomorrow (sorry, I haven't been on line much this weekend), it may be a little late but here are the sponsors of the bill: Senator Adam Kline (main sponsor) (360) 786-7688 Senator Jeanne Kohl-Welles (360) 786-7670 Senator Darlene Fairley (360) 786-7662 Senator Joe McDermott (360) 786-7667 If you wish to call their offices as a concerned gun owner and protector of our 2nd amendment rights, do it! Thanks again, everyone! This is a great forum.
  4. Thanks - nice mods on the MP!
  5. You may have already heard of Washington SB 6396. It is presently in committee in the legislature. The language in this bill is such that it would have far reaching effects on seemingly unrelated firearms such as shotguns, pistols with magazines with capacity higher than 10 rounds and even your 10/22 with aftermarket magazines with capacity greater than 10 rounds. Please see the page at NRA-ILA: http://www.nraila.org/Legislation/Read.aspx?ID=5305 Here's one particularly fun part: If you own a firearm(s) defined as an “assault weapon†on the date this bill becomes law, you can keep it if you are willing to allow your Sheriff to come into your home once every year to ensure you store your firearm(s) appropriately! (From NRA-ILA website) Here's a link to the actual bill: http://apps.leg.wa.gov/documents/billdocs/2009-10/Pdf/Bills/Senate%20Bills/6396.pdf The language in it is truly scary! I called the 3 legislators in my district to voice my opposition to it. I urge other Washington residents to do the same. This is a direct attack on our 2nd Amendment rights. Thanks
  6. Thanks, I really appreciate it.
  7. Hi all... I'm new to the forum (just did an intro post today). I put a 15-22 on layaway a few days ago and I'm really looking forward to taking delivery on it. I've run into some disturbing posts (on other forums/ sites) about FTF's, FTE's and rounds detonating before actually chambering. I take whatever I read on the internet with a grain of salt but still... The exploding round scenario is especially scary because I'm a left handed shooter. I certainly am not here to bash the gun - I think it's awesome! Have you folks had any serious problems? I've read about and watched on Youtube about the extractor problem and fix. How have your experience's been? I really appreciate any feedback.
  8. Hello from the Pacific Northwet! I've had a casual interest in firearms (is there really such a thing?) for several years but in the last year, I've become... passionate about it. OK, my wife says "obsessed". I've purchased 3 pistols in the last 8 months but don't yet own a long gun. I was thinking about a 10/22 but after some research, decided on the M&P 15-22. I have one on layaway at Bud's (my wife would agree to that). ::) This seems like a great forum and I look forward to learning and sharing my experiences here. I have some questions/ concerns about the 15-22, so please look for me in that forum.
