I have a Savage 64 that I love to shoot. It is also a work in progress; I am trying to give a more tactical look in order to make it a reasonable (not always) fill-in trainer for my AR-15. I am looking to keep it under $250 total, including the cost of the rifle. I am looking to see if it would be more cost effective over buying an SR-22, Colt AR-22 or similar rifles. I have put a pic rail under the front, a pic rail adaptor on the top, a bi-pod, rear sling swivel stud and a tac (mil reticle) scope; current investment is about $180, including the rifle, $195 if you include the spare mag I found at a gun show. I am looking to see how hard it would be to mount a collapsible stock on on it (like the one you can buy for an 870 SG). My M101 is keeping the newbie company.... :sniper:
Hola all, I have a M101 that I lucked into. I do not shoot it much because I have a newer gun for most range/backpacking trips but I do have a question about it. One of the things that annoys me is the trigger. It seems like the trigger spring has no strength. It seems that quick follow up shots are not likely since I am not sure if the trigger will reset. -Is this common? -Is this a simple fix (new spring)? -Is this a natural set-up? Thanks all
Just picked up a PA pistol, the one with both barrels. It is just a fun little plinker, once you figure out how to work the safties and the proper charging set up and mag releasing. Picked it up for a "beater" in order to practice with since my normal concealled carry is a Kel-Tec P-11 (9mm). They hold and weigh about the same but I can afford to put hundreds of rounds through the .22. Has anyone else had experience with these inexpensive little shooters; so far so good for me.
