  1. Figured I'd post my Sigs up. (older pic)
  2. Welcome and glad you're enjoying your new Sig. What's the website where you found the mags?
  3. After looking at all of the other "tactical" .22s, the Sig seams to me to stand out the highest in quality and performance. I have almost 2000 rounds through mine now. I can easily punch a 1" whole in a target with a 25 round mag at 50 yards "rapid" firing. 200 yard shots are somewhat easy as well. I haven't shot past 200 yards however. My only complaint is lack of iron sights. But that's easily remedied. It's a great lil rifle.
  4. Oi, anyone know how well the 22LR 30 gr Aguila Super Max HP rounds work with the 522?
  5. Thanks. :)
  6. Well. I've put 500 rounds through it as of today. Here's my thoughts so far. The rounds were Federal, but not the red bulk wal mart stuff. They are a 40 grain blue box. (excuse my lack of ammo knowledge por favor) Out of those 500, I had three stove pipes. 2 were because I limp wristed when having fun emptying a clip quickly. The last I'm not sure. I suspect it was a low charge that didn't push the bolt back enough. Also, I had one round drop 4 inches from my grouping for no reason, but that one didn't FTE. Ok, now, back home and time to clean. Holy crap! I don't ever recall having to clean a gun so much. Is Fed ammo generally dirty or is my memory just bad. I haven't fired a gun since I was a kid and I'm 36 so I could have bad memory. And, on that note, cleaning techniques and tools. I only picked up a basic cleaning kit. Seems very basic. metal brush for the barrel, some swabs to run through, a solvent of some sort and a gun oil who's smell mixed with gun powder brings back memories of being in mechanized armor for some reason. So, what are yall using to clean the hard to reach bits in the front of the receiver? Other than that? My red dot sucks and am buying something better asap. And, I love it. It's a very easy and fun little rifle to shoot. All in all, a great day. Was probably one of the best bonding moments I've had with my family in quite a while. Especially with my daughter, who after I showed her how to safely handle, check, load, and fire the gun, was a rock star. She looked like she'd been doing it for years.
  7. Has any of yall used this? Looking for any .22 users input. http://www.amazon.com/Tactedge-4X32-Mini-Mil-Dot-Scope/dp/B001WIUF1I/ref=sr_1_10?ie=UTF8&qid=1298349003&sr=8-10
  8. Hello all. Not my first post, but figured I should pop in here as I'm relatively new. Live in Mesa/Phoenix AZ and am the joyful owner of a Sig 522.
  9. You got that all for that price? Nice score!
  10. Heya Pirate, Did yours come with the bracket/attachment on the single point sling pivot?
  11. Thanks.
  12. Heya, Just wanted to say hi. Picked up my Sig on Friday and put 200 rounds through it on Saturday. Shoots pretty damned nice. One question; Are there any "speed loaders" or loading assisting devices I could pick up? I'm sure you've all experienced the sore thumb issue from loading. Cheers,
