Lon Moer

It's very much a "handy" rifle. Length and weight make it easy to just bring it along with you.

This is my first 10/22 and was the first gun I bought myself after my 18th birthday. I found the Choate folding stock in a LGS in OKC in '85 Has all Power Custom titanium internals, 10/22Magnum charge handle, Eagle Industries barrel shroud, flash hider, rear peep sight w/QD scope mount and HK front sight.

Thanks for the link, of course mine is a 1st gen and those are sold-ouit. ???

Mine is a first series GSG-5 and I have done most of the mods/upgrades; socket head screws, HK pins, ect. but I never located a cocking tube buffer. Anybody know where, or who, would I be able to acquire one from? Or is there a better/newer fix for the cocking handle contact issue? thanks. :)

Cabela's had some in stock yesterday, phone order only, but they sold out in 3~4hrs. :o (I missed it)

These have a very inconsistent primer charge and therefore there is the occasional misfire. Usually just rotating the rounds so the pin can hit another spot on the rim will get the misfires to work.

I got a 5K case(Eley 38gr@.06/shipped) from J&G Sales last week, but they sold out in a little over a day. ???

8) Its my 'go-to'/loaner rifle that I know anybody can shoot well with. Its also my only 'non-tactical' 10/22. :P

Late model Ruger receiver and bolt (unmarked and splatter finish), AMT Lightning tapered barrel in a heavily inlet'd Wal-Mart Special carbine stock. All Power Custom titanium internals, 10/22 Magnum charge handle and the see-through scope mount allows use of the rifle sights(barely). I had to do a lot of relieving under the front barrel band

Here's mine. Gen. 1 with Aimclone and airsoft copy Surefire handguard. 8) I built my Ruger "MP-10/22" back in the mid '80s ;D

(*) Chief AJ still has a website but there doesn't seam to be much about firearms. I don't know if they still do gunsmithing or if the workshop even still exists. ed; doh' this was supposed to be an edit of the first post :o

Bought it in 1999/2000 and directly sent the lower to Chief AJ's White Barn Workshop(*) and had them install their 1911 style slide release and hammer safety, and their custom 1911 grip panel inserts. Yeah, the new 22/45's come with grip panels, but this was big time 10~12yrs ago. :P The upper has a Millet no-snag front sight, Volquartsen trigger and Power Custom titanium firing pin and extractor.
