I paid $525 plus tax at my local gun store in the Austin area.

Recently picked up the H&K 416D 22LR. Ran 100 rounds smoothly through it today and was very accurate with stock sight at 50 yards. It was a great deal of fun to shoot and I see shooting this a lot due to the "fun factor" and low cost of ammo. I wanted a rifle that I can share with friends when visiting that would be easy to handle and exciting to shoot. Mostly reside in Lakeway but have a place in Fredericksburg.

Picked one up today for $520.00, Local shop was asking $590.00 but have been a good cusomer so they extend discounts for the business. Ordered two 30 round mags online at $66.00 (including shipping).

I have been a big fan of tactical shooting and hunting for many years. Primarily shooting 308 and 223. It seems like I always had an old 22 hanging (Woodsman, Winchester 9422, Remington Fieldmaster and High Standard Model HB) around that received very little attention. Over the last year or so I have stated to grow very fond for the rimfire cartridge. So for many reasons such as affordability, accuracy and convenience I have found myself buying a couple new rifles in rimfire. My most recent purchase today is the HK 416 22LR. I was impressed with the limited reviews of the rifle I have read and when I picked one up today I was impressed with the quality and feel. I have also been looking for a rifle that I can have friends feel comfortable shooting with when visiting. Hopefully I'll get it out to shoot this weekend. I have already ordered two additional 30 round mags today as well. I think I'm going to be sooting this rifle a lot.
