I've been using rem oil and rem shotgun cleaner.. guy at the gun shop swore against it and wanted to sell me some other stuff (the oil was a droplet form rather than an aerosol.) Whixh do you recommend? I have definitely noticed the over oiling effect. And you're not lying about the 3 county draw!
Mine is an early production, I bought it back in... 2009, maybe early 2010. I just took a look at the barrel and it doesnr appear to be set back.. ive got the suppressor nut firmly tightened and the bolt only does not gonfully into battery on occasion. It seems like this weapon has been problem after problem.. (were the early ones know to be so problematic?) Should I look into the newer barrel, or has there been any changes made to the upper or the bolt simce mine was produced? As the above poster stated.. this thing will eat more rem green/golds than it would fire.. and the cci sr greens were better.. but not omg write home about. Im trrrrying to locate some minimags or federal bulk to try..
I noticed that sometimes it wont and almost feels lile something may be catching. I took it to the local gunsmith and told him of the ftf.. a week later I got the rifle back dirty as heck and he said he never had a problem firing it (chsrged me for two boxes of ammo @ $9.99/box).. he never even took it apart.. I bought a box of the rounds he used and I had 1 ftf out of ten.. needless to say.. I am pretty upset with that shop..
I tore my m4 carbine down last night and im at my dads sighting it in and ive gotten a few ftf's. After inspection, ive noticed the bolt isn't fully seated and causes the ftf.. I sprayed some rem lube around the bolt housing but hasnt helped.. this ammo is 1640 fps and I have my spring set @ 4 turns in from flush.. any ideas? I just turned it in another two, and am going to try it again...
Thanks guys! Ive got a few questions that ill throw on the general forumn. Im at the range I.e... behind dads shop and this things is ftf'ing on cci short range greens.
Hey guys, just found this forum this afternoon after searching quite a while on ammunition and different things for my Umarex M4 Carbine 22. I learned the hard way that this thing HATES Remington Gold bulk 22lr. Im sitting at the kitchen table tearing it all the way down, minus trigger group to get all that junk out. The girl friend is loving the rem cleaner smell..not!
