kwalterb
I'm brand new here because I just got my M&P 15-22 today. I don't know much about tactical rifles, more than an average joe, but not more than most people here. forgive me if this is ignorant, but I was wondering if its correct/good for the gun to be stored with the gun cocked, because the safety doesnt engage any other way. I read the manual and I have been poking around the internet looking for some answers, but I figured people here could help me the most.tl;dr - safety doesnt engage unless it is cocked. is this okay for the firing pin? HAVOC
The rifle wont go into safe unless cocked (like a 5.56 rifle). You can also store the rifle with the bolt out (leave the charging handle in).
