question about my front sight

I got a Sig 522lr with the stock sights Ive read their not good sights but i don't have the money for new sights like Sampson sights for example. My question is should i file down my front sight? reason I ask is I tend to shoot past 50 yds most of my range is 75 to 125 yds. Also if their is cheaper sights out their that will fit my rifle could you let me know.Thank you for all your help
