Cant put a 308 on a 556 lower anyhow. Besides after a .22 556 has to be the most economical to shoot. If you find your upper is too far down the road and your itching to shoot I wouldn't hesitate to loan you my Colt Match HBAR upper.

Im a poor judge of recoil. Been shooting .308 semi autos for over twenty years and I grew up on a light Remington 760 pump in .308 It's nothing like a 12 gauge with hunting loads. If your used to say a .223/5.56 I think it will be a bit of a surprise. Its like going from a .32 to a .357, You know your shooting something. Rapid fire there is substantial muzzle climb on a light weapon.

Well I got the Shimano Core 50MG baitcasting reel and she got creative on a few other items. She got me a Troy Battle sight for an AR-15 (front sight) It's the HK style and has the Tritium front post. She was so excited...didnt have the heart to tell her I need the rear sight for it to all work :laugh: And also apparently she listens to my babbling. She also bought me a Larue mount for my Aimpoint. She likes the guys at Larue they always treat her well. The most awesome gift was a photo book she made through shutterfly that chronicles some highlights of fishing over the last few years.
