Thanks guys I have enjoyed working on my rifle, hey TM iam not going to bend the bolt for now I don't have the tools. But it is now time to start thinking about the next project ;D
I have finally finished my mosin project well for now. I blued the bolt pieces I stripped down and degreased the bolt as normal but I then mix half a bottle of permablue with distilled water,I then soaked the parts for about 10 mins in the solution and then washed with tap water from an outside tap and left for 20 mins out in the sun, when it dried it went a little rusty and then I resoaked the parts for 10 mins I did this about 6 times, then it was left to harden for 24 hours. I like the finish on the bolt but in a couple of photos the finish looks brown but to the eye its black.
Nice buy :thumb: I have a timney trigger in my mosin I used the excuse that the rifle didn't have a very good safety catch but what a great trigger smooth and clean and crisp break I hope you get plenty use out of it.
Sorry to hear about your loss I know how you feel, I hope your jaw isn't broken in 1999 i was assulted in the UK I had severe broken leg ribs nose and jaw the way they got my jaw to work.was they taped a bunch of tongue depressors together and had to put them between my teeth and force my jaw to open slightly every hour and keep it there for 5 mins and add another stick every other day it hurts like hell but try it and see if it helps bud once again iam sorry for all your going through.
