It that a remington 700 sps varmit rifle ?

I finally got my Remington 700 sps Tactical in .223 home i have had it on layaway for a while at the local hardware store. Today i have put a warne tactical steel picitinny scope mount base on with my swfa ss 10x42 mil/mil scope on top and i have a harris bipod on i now cant wait to shoot it but first iam going to bed the scope mount base and blue lock tight the mounting screws. Then i will be looking at a b&c medalist stock and replacement bottom metal work so i can have a 10 round detachable magazines.

Thats a nice looking clean no4 you have there sir and have the leaf sight as well. Are you going to relaod or buy ammo for it. If your going to relaod pm i i reload for mine i found a few pit falls when i relaoded for it. Also it probibly wouldnt hurt to get it head spaced my no4 needs a trip to the gunsmith as the headspace is slighy generious and needs a shim silver soldered to the bolt face yo avoid case rupture again.

Hey eeyore can you post some better photos of the proof stamps and the top of the reciever ring and barre proof marks can help identify what rifle you have there . Nice looking lee enfield you have there sir.

I did my hunters ed class and passed the test. Iam now going to get my hunting.licence and i hope to be hog hunting this winter and i may have someone who will let me hunt deer on their land during mule deer season.

Iam going to get a no go gauge and test the head spacing again. Then if its still good then ill polish the chamber or its going to to get a no3 bolt head and polished. Thanks guys :thumb:
