  1. I think you are right. I can be a picky cuss.
  2. Ok is there anyone out there that is having trouble liking the 1522? I shot one the first time the other day and it shoots nice but still has a uncomfortable feel to it. Light and a little whippy. My boys want one of these really bad and I am just struggling with the rifle. Cant change forend cant change rear tube etc. Am I missing something or am I just way to picky. I love the 1022 but its not perfect. I really like the feel of the 522 but not sold on it yet. :o :o
  3. Hey mike, I shot smallbore silhouette in Colorado before moving here. Ok the answer to your question is that it can be very very frustrating and very rewarding. I would not catagorize it as fun, but rewarding. When you actually hit those little animals it will put a smile on your face. Remember that low heart rate and breathing along with technique are critical. You need your rifle to shoot at least 1.5 moa. to feel comfort. Glass and repeatability of scope is very important as you will be going up and down on those turrets alot. Wind is killer in this sport as it affects your hold and standing still and it also affects your bullet. Spotter is critical in this situation. When they get the range open. I will let you shoot my rifle and you can decide if you like it yourself.
  4. I went through an ammo search over the last year trying to find the most reasonable priced ammo that would run 100% out of my boys and my Tactical 10/22s. Went from remington to federal bulk, to federal premium and then to Federal Automatch. I tried a box of Blazer and have never looked back. It has been flawless with factory mags in our 10/22s. I have had great luck with them in the BC steel lip mags too, however I do have a mag that has problems will all ammo. I am going to try the CCI Tactical stuff this year for major matches and just because it might be fun. Kevin
  5. Got about 1200 rounds of Blazer through my 1022 with 0 malfunctions or FTF. When it gets warmer I am going to do some consistency texting with my Chrono. I used to like automatch but it has been hit or miss lately. Not really any feed or FTF problems but very inconsistant velocity. Which is unsettling when in a match.
  6. Hey smurf, I think the match was fun. I hate shooting weak hand though ouch. Oh and by the way you kicked my rear on Stage 3.
  7. I started shooting automatch last year with good results. However the last few boxes have been very inconsistant. Several seem like they go subsonic. Does federal produce these or does CCI? Having better luck with blazer these days! Anyone else experience this?
  8. I have had good luck with the steel lip mags so far. I would love to try the TI mags as well. Anyone ever use those?
  9. I have been lusting over one of these myself.
  10. Hey Guys new to the forum and smurf. I think i know you and I will be competing with you for the Michelen man title this saturday. I hope its warm enough. I just built some new barricades and hope to bring in new targets soon. The range has been great in spending money. We will get our own storage soon. Sorry to hijack the thread. Kevin
