Has anyone experience decreased accuracy with their HK416d after a shooting session of around 90 minutes in 100 degree temperature? I wondering if the thin barrel overheats and ruins the accuracy.
It was a great sunny day. I took my HK 22 out to the range with a box of Winchester 333 22LR's. Within 150 rounds the bolt would not go into the battery position. The fouling build up was really excessive. My HK was clean before the outing. After returning home and cleaning the piece, everything was back to normal. CCi's and Federals are OK but I would stay away from bulk Winchesters. I hope this helps other AR 22 shooters.
