Started process on a 522PK, probably buying another GSG
drifter2be replied to drifter2be's topic in GSG-522, GSG-5 General
So being the impatient mo-fo that I am I drove out and picked up my 522-pk today, and picked up a pro-mag 10 round magazine for it, got home, tossed that single round magazine into the back of my safe and began monkeying around with it. Installed the CA version slip on muzzle brake, and put my sightmark reflex sight on it, although I think I am going to switch that out for a different red dot sight as I have not been too big of a fan of this reflex sight. I have two of the short ten round GSG magazines that will be here the day I pick up my rifle. For now I like it, I am trying to figure out an elegant solution for this stupid bullet button they put on the CA version that will smooth out the magazine change process. Probably going to order a new butt cap with a sling provision. Overall, not having actually shot the gun yet, I can say that I really like it, it feels pretty solidly built for what it is. Time for the crumby cellphone picture, will take good pics when I pick up its big brother next week. [img width=800 height=600]http://i892.photobucket.com/albums/ac130/88_7mge/2011-12-08134539.jpg -

Started the transfer process on the rifle yesterday, figure I'll combine everything into one drive and pick them both up on the 13th. -
GSG-5 22 ROUND MAGAZINE 2 PACK $33.99
drifter2be replied to imschur's topic in GSG-522, GSG-5 General
Out of stock. For those of you stuck in CA like me and want the 22 round mags exilemachine sells them, and they will disassemble them and ship as a rebuild kit. Think they were about $18 a piece. -
Welcome, I'm waiting on my own GSG 522pk right now and starting paperwork on an older GSG 5 this weekend. Great little guns.

Make: ATI Model: GSG-5 Caliber: 22lr Location (city or county): Hemet/Riveside county Price: $450 or $400 without scope and laser or trade Will ship (Y/N): Will ship at buyer's expense. Other info: Rifle has between me and the previous owner less than 500 rounds through it. I just took the gun apart and replaced the factory screws with the upgraded screw kit from RRAGES.com. It comes with a factory stock and the factory folding stock (measures exactly 26" long when folded, so completely legal) has the claw-mount picatinny rail for mounting optics, the cocking tube buffer has be added, has the tri-rail handguard, and comes with 6 10rd. long magazines. I don't think I have forgotten anything, but will edit if I remember anything. [img width=800 height=599]http://i892.photobucket.com/albums/ac130/88_7mge/2011-12-14022025.jpg [img width=800 height=600]http://i892.photobucket.com/albums/ac130/88_7mge/2011-12-14022109.jpg Only trades I will consider are S&W M&P 15-22 or Umarex Colt M-4 EDIT: Just remembered that I also ordered one of the GSG-5 parts kits since this did not include the factory tool when I bought it. So there is the factory take down tool, along with a some replacement springs, different inserts for the front sight and a replacement firing pin, should you ever need one. Also includes UTG 4x32 mil-dot scope (can illuminate red or green) with cantilever mount and a rail mounted laser with pressure switch. Willing to ship. Buyer to pay all fees and costs associated with shipping. Will ship FFL to FFL. All sales are final. If you fail DROS that is your problem, not mine and no refunds will be given for inability to transfer on your part. Sorry, but needs to be said because I just had a horrible experience because a buyer was caught making a straw purchase and I didn't cover my arse. Payment by USPS money order only. No personal checks will be accepted. new picture for today [img width=800 height=600]http://i892.photobucket.com/albums/ac130/88_7mge/2011-12-27205551.jpg Only thing not included in the sale is the Magpul RVG. Three of the magazines have magpul magazine pullers on them. I have quite a bit of money in this setup right now, but I would rather have an AR platform 22 right now, if I can't get $400 for it then I would rather keep it, so please no low offers I have already priced it as low as I am willing to go.

Ok, did they fix that issue with the changes to the 522? If not I guess I'm ordering two sets. -

Is there a particular reason for swapping the screws? -

Confirmed with seller today, that GSG 5 rifle is mine. Including a second magazine, original and folding stock, tri-rail handguard and a bunch of rounds of 22lr. Figure between that, the two 10 round mags that I ordered for the PK all I need are a few 22 round "rebuild kits" and I will be set. -
So living in Komifornia, I have another 8 days before I can pick up my GSG 522PK. Been excited about this gun for a while and even more so now that I finally have it in the california gun jail. The only thing that is disappointing is because I have to get the CA version I am stuck with that stupid bullet button. Now after browsing a california gun forum I find a guy relatively local selling one of the old GSG-5 rifles, round count under 300, comes with a second ten round magazine, and is including a folding stock (don't know if its legal in that config though) and the asking price seems too good to be true ($350). Regardless I already contacted the guy and am planning on meeting up with him in the next day or so whenever he is available to inspect and purchase it. Guess I have a better reason now to sell that Mossberg tactical 22. All that being said, is there anything specific that I should keep an eye out for on one of the original GSG-5s, anything that typically is a problem on these rifles? Thanks in advance everyone.

Its a straight shooter. Not that great of a shooter but got a 1.5" group at 50 yards with cci mini-mags last week. I'm not crazy about the fake plastic molded casing but it makes it easy to attach stuff. Apparently mossberg just came out with a flat top style version that does away with a lot of the wanna be AR protrusions on the case, and that awful fake carry handle, so I am trying to see if mossberg will sell just the plastic shell, so I can replace the old style one with the newer flat top one.

Hemet, though I'm down in Poway or Oceanside almost every other weekend.

Names Joe, live in wonderful Kalifornia, where guns are more evil than satanist cults. Have gotten pretty big into rimfire in the past month. Bought a used Mossberg Tactical 702 plinkster and just put a GSG-5PK into the 10-day gun jail this morning. Other firearm I own is a sporterized Mosin Nagant 91/30 with the ATI stock. Planning on dropping a few hundred dollars on accessories for the GSG in the next few days so I can have everything ready to go when I pick it up on the 8th, and I figured this would probably be a great place to get some ideas. My Mossberg
