Handgaurd light buld replacement

Recommended Posts

I have an Integrated light handgaurd (Classic Army) on my GSG5 and the xenon bulb was rather dull.  I looked at Airsplat and found a replacement bulb that is LED.  This thing ROCKS, it is very intense and I am very satisfied.  I went to check the link and Airsplat is apparently out of them.  So the direct link is a no go, but the general link to the lights works.  If you check it, scroll about half to three quarters way down and the bulb I got is the J-Rich $19.99 bulb.  If you can find it else where and you want a brighter light then I recommend it.

I should have also indicated that there are a few compatible light models listed.  If you have a handheld that is listed with a xenon bulb, this upgrade is worth the $20.  If I can find another one in stock somewhere else I will post it, and I have another Surefire G2 on my duty belt I am looking at upgrading.

I was just going to post a topic on lighted handguard. I've been going crazy looking for one that won't tip the $100 mark like the super expensive Surefire 628 series. I found this article about MP5 handguards http://www.arniesairsoft.co.uk/reviews/mp5tac_handguard/mp5tac_guarder_review.htm. That Guarder model is only sold by the one web site and it seems you have to fax the order.

I haven't found any web site that has the CA in stock yet. How is the quality of the handguard itself?

I have purchased from both of these companies numerous times and I have had no troubles what so wever.

As far as the brands, both Classic Army and G&P are well known for being tough, just keep in mind thiese are made of high impact ABS, mine has held up, but I just plink...meaning if you really started running and gunning and heating the barrel up I dont know how these would hold up.  Mine is really durable and I think it would hold up to a typical LEO training day with the intermitent breaks....but just dumping rounds at a high (I'm thinking cyclic here but thats for automatics) rate of fire will probably melt it.  Hope this helps.
