kevinpagano Posted January 13, 2011 Report Posted January 13, 2011 I started shooting automatch last year with good results. However the last few boxes have been very inconsistant. Several seem like they go subsonic. Does federal produce these or does CCI? Having better luck with blazer these days! Anyone else experience this?
techmike Posted January 17, 2011 Report Posted January 17, 2011 I purchased 1 box of Federal AutoMatch last summer, 40 gn lead rn. I was not impressed with it's performance in my Colt. I get much better accuracy @ 50 yds with the Federal Bulk, which is plated 36 gn hp.TM
Razoray Posted January 26, 2011 Report Posted January 26, 2011 I have used these as the standard when testing other ammo. The 10/22 that I have has a Green Mtn. BBL. and this is the only ammo that gives zero problems and small groups. My wife got me a Umarex/colt M16/22 for xmas and the auto match worked and shot great, the only thing it did 'nt like was Rem. bulk pack. The first time out I ran 500 rounds thru it and had NO problems at all ( I knew it would not like Rem. bulk) But it would run Rem Vipers and Copper heads with out any problems.
