richdoe Posted August 30, 2011 Report Posted August 30, 2011 What are you guys doing as a workaround to mount a .22 dovetail scope to a picatinny rail? I've got a red-dot .22 scope that has the 3/8 inch dovetail mount, but I want to hang it on a picatinny rail -- hopefully without raising it up too much with a clunky adapter.
richdoe Posted August 31, 2011 Author Report Posted August 31, 2011 What brand/model scope do you have? It's a $60 Tasco red-dot. I've seen a couple of adapters out there that go from picatinny to dovetail, but would prefer to place it directly on the rail, as those scopes already sit high when mounted to an AR handle rail.
techmike Posted September 2, 2011 Report Posted September 2, 2011 If the scope has an integrated mount, I don't know of any option other than an adapter rail.
