Magpul PTS vs. Gen 2 Sights

hi folks...thanks in advance for your help.

I'm adding a set of pop-up sights to my 10/22 archangel.  I've seen PTS and Gen 2 sights.  I understand the PTS sights are for airsoft (training aides).  My question is will they work on a .22.  I understand the need for durability and quality when dealing with 5.56 but the recoil on a .22 is much lower. 

I plan on using the rifle for tactical competitions at the very amateur level.  The sights will be a backup to a walters red dot.

Functionally they are interchangeable. Build quality and materials are not the same. The PTS line if parts is not made from the same polymer as regular Magpul hardware. They are very inexpensive and I would question there long term survival. They are cheap enough to take a risk though, not much to lose.
