Microgunner
How long is the barrel on yours?

Microgunner
That is the carbine. It's not offered with a barrel any shorter than the legal minimum of 16".The only shorter version would be the pistol, which will be illegal to mount a rifle butt stock or a vertical grip on without getting a tax stamp and registering it as a Short Barrel Rifle. mbailey
Im sorry, i should have said that I knew it would require the tax stamp.Yea, im not opposed to the getting it (the stamp), I have a M2 Carbine and am familiar with the paperwork. The local Sheriff is my brother in law (it helps with the paperwork) I was just curious if the items were available. On a side note, Im taking it to the range tommorow for the first run, I dont know whos more excited, me or my 11yrold son lol

mbailey
Had my GS at the range today.....It functioned flawlessly usingFederal Premium Champion Target, 745, 22LR, 36 Grain. What an amazingly fun gun to shoot. I had 3 or 4 folks (who were shooting their ARs) come up to look at it, hold and shoot it. I think GSG just got 3 or 4 more sales :thumb: One gent walked away with a grin on his face larger than the Cheshire Cat.I usually spend my money on custom 45s and on higher end rifles so I was leary about buying a $375.00 plinker. Not any more, cant wait to get it back out! I do believe ive come over to the dark side <insert Darth Vader emoticon> ;DMicro, do you know if the forend with the integrated light will fit the SD models? And is the conversion kits (sights, hex screws etc) worth putting on the gun?
Microgunner
Just not sure about the light and my GSG 5 is bone stock except for a claw mount and red dot sight.Thought about the screw kit from RRages but, so far no need for it.
