rabies
found this the barrel nut is different though. jus use a screwdriver and hammer and use it to get the barrel nut loose
sumsky
I made a tool or wedge out of wood to hold the Bolt open while I clean my sons Gun. That works pretty good for me. We have not had one fail to eject or fail to feed since I got him this Gun, even with the cheap Remington Subsonics, works great.
rabies
i found taking out the velocity spring keeps the tension off it all when cleaning. you should post a pic of this "wedge" seems like a good idea so i dont keep taking out this spring

sumsky
Ok, here is the "Wedge" I made to keep the Bolt open while cleaning my son's Gun. I used one of those Paint mixing Sticks they give away free in Home Depot. I traced the shape of the inner part of the charging handle with paper and a pen, then cut and shape until it fit. Cheap and works great. I realy got tired of trying to hold the Bolt open while cleaning so I had to come up with some kind of contraption to make things easier. techmike
After looking at the 416's manual, it appears that Umarex used the same internals as in the Colt M4 .22. There is a detailed tear-down/cleaning procedure for the Colt HERE. Should be very similar for the HK.
