vhinze
I've been busy working on my MK22. Here are some gory pics of the hump removal.

Microgunner
What great looking rifles. Was the cheek piece placing your eye too high?
vhinze
What great looking rifles. Was the cheek piece placing your eye too high? No, it was more a matter of appearance. The stock comb has a truncated hump that spoils the lines of the rifle. I modified the riser with window screen and JB Weld, coated it with poly truck bed liner. The adjustment range really doesn't make that much difference anyway, I can still use the BUIS or scope without contorting myself. There are a bunch of other external mods that are apparent to the eye of one familiar with the MK22. They serve to return the gun to its' originally intended appearance, before lawyers worked their magic. Internal mods make the thing work.
