BigJuice55 Posted April 4, 2012 Report Share Posted April 4, 2012 Still a newbie here and it seems that I have only been able to find suppressor install info for the earlier Sig 522's produced with the threaded barrels. I recently bought a 522 and want to add a suppressor to it but my barrel had no threads on it. What have you guys done to make a suppressor work on it?Thanks! 3S1K Posted April 4, 2012 Report Share Posted April 4, 2012 My guess is it has the heavy barrel installed. My sig 522 came with 2 barrels. A 16" threaded skinny barrel with flash hider and a heavy 18" non threaded barrel. You will have to send or take the barrel to a gunsmith to get it threaded for a suppressor.
