Question about suppressor install

Still a newbie here and it seems that I have only been able to find suppressor install info for the earlier Sig 522's produced with the threaded barrels. I recently bought a 522 and want to add a suppressor to it but my barrel had no threads on it. What have you guys done to make a suppressor work on it?

The newer 522's do not have a flash hider??  They're a straight barrel??

You'll have to have your barrel threaded.

My guess is it has the heavy barrel installed. My sig 522 came with 2 barrels. A 16" threaded skinny barrel with flash hider and a heavy 18" non threaded barrel.

You will have to send or take the barrel to a gunsmith to get it threaded for a suppressor. A place like Adco.com can do this for you for about $70 plus shipping. Do you have a suppressor already??

Yeah, mine came with the heavy barral and that's it. I have not gotten a suppressor yet.

You could buy a threaded barrel, that's another option.

And btw, I shoot my Sig 522 suppressed with my SWR Spectre a lot - its awesome.

I do not, sorry, mine came threaded.  I can poke around on this board, I think at one point someone posted a link to them...
