Hi There,  I am looking to purchase a scope for my M&P 15-22 and not sure where to start.

I will greatly appreciate any suggestions and feedback on scopes for shooting targets at 100 yards.

M price range is about $100-150.  Thanks!

I have a NcStar 3x9x42RE on my Colt C 4 22 cal......I like this scope because of it's size and shape as it looks better on an AR type rifle rather than a long bulky scope....So far my scope has worked well with my rifle....................I ordered through Walmart for just under $80.

My C 4 Colt with scope next to S&W M&P C 4 OPs......

A big-rifle scope with a low price like a Wally World Bushnell in a bubble pack is probably your best bet.  Saw one in a local Wally World in the last few days,  do not really remember,  but maybe 3-9X;  40 or so MM;  under or very close to $100.

I personally usually prefer the look of the bigger scopes (compared to most dedicated 22LR scopes) and think the big-rifle scopes are built stronger to stand up to center-fire recoil.  That should make them last forever on a small-caliber rimfire.

Thank you all for your recommendations.  After intense research, I am leaning towards a UTG Tactical 3x magnifier with "flip to side" mount and a Bushnell red dot sight.  Not sure if this is the best way to go for long / short range optics, but what do yall think?

Thye red dots scopes are great for general plinking all the way out to 100 yards....I have one on my GSG AK 47 22 cal and it works great for my grand kids........
