asmurff
My step-daughter wants an archery set for Christmas and I haven't shot a bow since my early 20s and it was a recurve. So question is do any of you shoot bows? I've been looking at Gensis compound bow sets from Cabelas, one of the youth/young adult with adjustable draw. She is 19 5'6" so she doesn't need a kid's bow, but I'm not going to spend 400 or 500 dollars on one since she is the definition of a fickled teenager. imschur
did you get her something?
asmurff
Yes a Gensis adjustable compound bow. Something if she pulls her usual and uses it 3 or 4 times it is big enough for me to use.
Dangermouse
I like it, getting a gift that you can pick up later when they are bored with it!As a father to a 2 year old girl and 6 month old girl, I will keep this for another day.Bugger, that Wendy house could have been a Smith and Wesson. asmurff
Can you imagine the look on her face >:D
Dangermouse
She loves her pink ear muffs and loves watching me shoot. So I am hope full that some day she will get the bug.I hope she will still be able to shoot, but thats politics.Unfortunately my local range - Bisley - only allows people to shoot from the age of 14 up, so a while to go yet. Shotgun may be different, but I don't do clays.
asmurff
DM are there restrictions on air rifles there? I started my son on an old Crossman 760 Air Rifle with variable pump, he couldn't have been more than 10. When I was sure he would be safe with it I bought him a .22.
