pragan14 Posted December 29, 2012 Report Posted December 29, 2012 Hello All, I just bought the HK 416 .22 and tried putting on a Magpul ACS stock, it fits and everything but theres alot more play than i would prefer, does anybody know if the 416's take replacement buffer tubes so i can get one that fits Magpul stocks better? techmike Posted December 30, 2012 Report Posted December 30, 2012 Welcome to Tac 22. I do not have the H&K, but my Colt M4 had the same issue. I used a self-adhesive teflon tape - sticky on one side, black & smooth on the other side, - it is about .020" thick. I stacked a few pieces of that inside the stock, at 0900, 1200 & 1500, and my after market AR stock works fine with no slop.

techmike Posted January 5, 2013 Report Posted January 5, 2013 OK, But I would not count on the duct tape to be a long-term solution. The adhesive on all duct tape will migrate out the edges eventually... If you are interested I can point you towards higher quality tape.
