bhouchin45
Iam new to this site and new to the .22 tactical rifles. I have a M4 carbine ordered and waiting for it to arrive. I have been looking at the mods and upgrades everyone is doing, and iam wanting to change the polymer handguard for a quad rail. I have searched everywhere and i seen someone saying the 6.5" carbine length AR15 drop in rails will fit with my delta ring system. Can anyone confirm this before i buy parts? Iam also looking to remove the carry handle and put a scope on it.I guess i should have ordered the m4 ops but i didnt know the differences until i already purchased the carbine. Microgunner
Techmike knows a lot about fitting rails to the Colt. Maybe he'll chime in.
techmike
Welcome to Tac22! I believe your gun store is correct, that should not be a problem to swap in a quad rail. I have the M4 Ops variant, and that comes with a free float rail. Let's see some pics as you mod it.
dan01
I took the carbine hand guards off my Colt M 4 (6 3/4") with D ring and replaced it with a $60.00 aluminum two piece 4 rail hand guard that fit into the D ring and clamped to the front cap right behind the front sight.............Looks like a standard M 4 (OPs)
