Travis at Kies Firearms sends this along. We specialize in AR-15 rifles, and our flagship product is an AR-15 in 22LR Our rifles are not 22's made to look like AR-15 rifles. They are AR-15 rifles chambered in 22LR and you can use any centerfire upper receiver designed for the AR-15 on our lower receivers. If there is something specific you want in an AR style rifle, please let us know. We will be happy to build your dream rifle. Here is an example of a custom tactical type rifle that we were requested to build. It has the following upgrades: Magpul Miad grip, Vltor clubfoot stock, full rifle length free float quad rail, quad rail gas block, 150 lumens light, laser, DPMS Mangonel front and rear flip up sights, 3-9x50 Simmons scope with AR mount, and a single point sling mount, ski foot bipod
can you cut pictures out of catalogs and magazines and poly over them? I did something like that as a kid but I recall the paper being thicker than todays. We also may have sprayed them with hairspray to seal them first. You also might need to test finishes on the paper first to see if any reaction occurs from todays inks
I messed up my ears a bit as a youth. It started with a fair amount of .308 shooting without protection followed by my first job where the factory was so loud I couldnt hear my radio at full volume. When the machines were off the radio was so loud it would hurt your ears. Today when shooting the minute I arrive at the range I place those yellow foam E.A.R plugs in. When I shoot I have a pair of Silencio Magnums or Dillon hearing protectors that I use on top of the foam plugs. My ears are so sensitive I cant be around a nail getting hammered in to wood without wanting to jump out of my skin
Starting hopefully in December I will be having a dedicated .22 AR built to my specifications. I have a few minor decisions to make but the big picture is set and a verbal agreement has been made. I cant wait
I havent got that yet but my new Brownells catalog #63 just arrived and Im delighted to see they have added a lot more 308 AR goodies The new Brownells catalog is also much fatter than previous versions. Many more ways to bleed cash
Hmm there are some misconceptions in that thread. Some folks aren't getting these are.22's. I find it hard to fathom a break like that without the help of a human. Who knows. Lastly in the case of Colt and Sig these are merely licensed brand trademarks and not a reflection of the manufacturers actual firearms. Interesting none the less.
