  3. Gotcha thanks.
  4. I was wondering what was at the end of the barrel. So thats just a turned profile then?
  5. you got that right. We have an evil feature law. You can only have two of the five evil features. 1. Flash Supressor 2. High Cap Mag 3. Pistol Grip 4. Collapsible Stock 5. Bayonet Lug Silly laws
  6. I want one of these. I need to see if it is CT legal.
  7. Think of it this way. Imagine sighting in your scope which is mounted at an exaggerated angle of 45 degrees to the right on a level range at 100 yards. It would work fine without issue as long as you dont change any variables. Now what happens if you move your target out to 300 yards and you adjust for elevation with the scopes elevator knob? Your bullets impact would now be several inches off to the right. Why? because the elevator isnt traveling perfectly straight up and down relative to the bore. Therefore the more elevation you dial in the farther off target you will be. All this on a flat range. Now what happens if you have to shoot up or down hill? An easy way to test this for yourself is to take a level to the range and on a big target draw an upside down "T" that is level and square. Aim at the intersection of where the 2 lines meet. Take a few shots and raise the elevation a few clicks and fire a few more rounds. Repeat this several times to see if your hits travel in a straight line parallel to the vertical line. If the string of hits follows a linear line in a direction away from your vertical the scope is not level to the bore. Look at the images below for an easy understanding, but to put it simply the point of impact change will match the angle the reticle is offset from the rifles bore..
  8. your going to love it
  9. The F88T Austeyr was developed by ADI Limited (now known as Thales Australia). It is, as far as I know, the only variant of the Steyr AUG chambered in .22 Long rifle. A page on the, now offline, ADI website described the weapon as:
  10. Ill post later on why its important. I just received the tools. The two levels in the Wheeler kit dont read the same "level". Thats not good
  11. Wow Try it with Bing. Their views seem to be better in my searches
  12. I see there are many models of 10/22. Is there one that's best to start with for a project gun?
  13. The Wheeler was from Midway but its also available direct. The EXD came from Brownells. The links in the previous message go to the product pages at both sites ;D The wheeler got glowing and awful reviews, very strange. I have a precision level here that I will verify the Wheeler levels with.
  14. I decided in the interest of the website to purchase a few different scope leveling tools. The Wheeler "Level Level Level" and Neconos EXD Engineering Verticle Reticle Instrument ;D
  15. Did you ever have a gun that never worked right? I had an Intratec Protec .25 that would not fire more than one round in a row. It was a great concept but a piece of crap in realization.
  16. Who buys this stuff? :D
  17. Nice! We have nothing like that here in CT
  18.
  19. my buddy plays sniper with turkeys by going for head shots
  20. I shoot a buddies, its a savage too but I havent a clue on the model. Freaking laser accurate.
  21. I think your out of luck unfortunately. The question gets asked often on web forums. Did you try bushnell directly? Thats one of the reasons Im looking at a Nikon Monarch. Several of the models come with target turrets in the box
  22. Ive decided to take pictures of my Johnson and include it in all replies to spammers asking for their feedback on whether my unit REALLY needs to be larger. Heres a great tip for spam. Have all your email go to Googles Gmail then use your main account or have your email software grab the email from your gmail. Google spam filter works very well. Alternatively have Google forwrd all your filtered email.
  23. Now I need to go out and check my mail ;D Thanks Rodent
  24. Curiously what computer questions and problems do you face regularly? What things do you wish you knew how to accomplish?
  25. Heres an exploded view
