yes BUT you need to make sure your gas block and sight combination get you to the proper height so the sights are on the same plane. On my .22 I had to add a riser block to use the MBUS with the factory gas block. Also if your thinking of using the MBUS, due to heat Magpul cautions against using them as I did. Why do you want to get rid of the A2 sight? Im actually regretting not installing the A2 style on many of my AR's
