I had an awesome meeting with Mark today. I originally inquired about a trust as a path to Suppressors and and SBR's but after a few emails, a phone call and todays meeting I really came to understand that a gun trust is about so much more. It's really about protecting you and your firearms. Ill save that for another topic. Mark was not at all what I expected, he's a shooter like the rest of us, likes the black guns and is a strong supporter of the 2nd Amendment and the NRA and he just happens to be an attorney. He explains things very clearly and really makes you feel that he has your best interest at heart and is not BSing you. I spent a good hour and a half talking with him. A good 1/3 was discussing guns. He was kind enough to bring out some of his collection for me to fondle. Anyhow anyone in New England looking to purchase NFA items or just wanting to protect their collection now and in the future would do well to give Mark a call. It may be the best money you spend on shooting. Check out his website The Law Offices of Jalowiec & Zeck, LLC 114 Sodom Lane Derby, Connecticut 06418 Phone: (203) 734-1100 Facsimile: (203) 734-7279

Visit Gemtech After years of recommending various brands and types of ammunition, we decided to do things right and create our own optimized round for suppressor useage. Putting together a heavier bullet, a cleaner powder, a premium lube on the lead round nose projectile gave us consistent velocities and harder hitting performance at subsonic, suppressor-friendly speed. The 42 grain lead round nose bullet is heavier than traditionally available rounds, but isn't so heavy as to cause instability. A designed velocity of 1020 feet per second ensures the heavier projectile remains subsonic speed in most all firearms without resorting to anemic velocities Sold in bricks of 500 or 5,000 round cases, the GEMTECH SILENCER SUBSONIC .22lr ammunition is subpackaged in 50 rd tray boxes to keep bullet noses from any accuracy-robbing damage during transit. PLEASE NOTE: Prices and quantity discounts shown are per 50rd box. One Brick = 10 boxes One Case = 100 boxes

Thats exactly what we figure happened to this little guy. The cats wait all day for something to move
-
Most here probably would have viewed it as a moving target but after living in the city for such a long time I have come to appreciate feathered and furred creatures. Plenty of bad people for perspective.

Heading out to walk the dog we startled one of our cats and a little bird came flopping and fluttering out. It had a small cut over it's eye and was missing tail feathers. Couldnt locate any help last night but we were lucky this morning and a local nature center agreed to take it and rehab it. We had initially thought it a young femal Cardinal but we were mistaken. It was a bird I had not seen or heard of. A Cedar Wax Wing. The nature center folks were thrilled with their new guest.

Many of the most accurate competition rimfire barrels are sleeved. Dont let the name lead you to think something of a lesser quality

Actually I mispoke. It's BLO followed by Shellac. I shop here http://www.highlandwoodworking.com/search.aspx?find=shellac

as a life long woodworker I want to one day do an authentic tung oil and shellac violin type finish on the wood of a fine firearm. I feel I mastered the technique well enough. No other finish creates the same glow and is so simple to repair. It's very gratifying to buy your own fresh shellac flakes and creating the finish yourself
