The safety shoe truck showed up at the office. I was floored to see they had the BATES GX-8 COMPOSITE TOE BOOT on board. The BATES GX-8 is available in several application specific styles. These boots will meet my steel toe shoe requirement at the office. Super comfortable and super light. The GX-8 is one of the boots serving our men and woman in Iraq and Afghanistan. Amazon.com has them here.

CLARK CUSTOM RUGER 10 22 BARRELED ACTION PROJECT
imschur replied to imschur's topic in Ruger 10-22 Mods and Upgrades
I have a few Harris as well, they just plain work. On my big rifles I have become fond of the GG&G Heavy Duty. This gun will most likely get a Harris based on economics and function. One day when my Bobro shows up I will mount it just for pictures and envy of AR guys around the globe. -

CLARK CUSTOM RUGER 10 22 BARRELED ACTION PROJECT
imschur replied to imschur's topic in Ruger 10-22 Mods and Upgrades
yeah that the mag that was supplied by Clark. I also ordered the Ruger BX 25 from Ruger. Im still debating the scope. Leupold has some .22 specific scopes that have my interest but I have not ruled out a Nikon or Zeiss Conquest. Im open to suggestions though. Need a bipod too -
Fantastic!!! Thanks for the link man

My concern is the cause as Microgunner pointed out. I just checked RWS is now Umarex. Theres nothing even closely resembling my pistol on the site. Mine is also the "Match" model. Theres not a picture on the web. They must have sold two of them ;D It's the 6G Match, Left Handed

well if thats the case Im not taking it apart. Lats time I adjusted the trigger it had to go back to RWS. I wonder if these guys are still in the business. BTW the damn seal swore he could be trusted not to talk

I decided to spend Friday lunch hour plinking with my old pellet pistol. It's a very fine pistol ans competitively accurate. I took a 20oz coke bottle and threw is far as I could in to the woods. It went suprisingly far and managed to roll down a slight grade for a few extra feet. I loaded the gun took the first shot and nailed the bottle. I was pleasantly surprised having not shot a handgun since last fall and having not shot the RWS in over 15 years. Repeated the process a few more times hitting the bottle every time. I decided to move the bottle back another 10 feet and stick the neck in a hole in a dead tree. I walked back and proceded to shoot again. First shot I miss and hear the pellet smack a tree in the woods. I shoot again and miss, and again, and again, and again wtf. Then it occurs to me im not hearing the pellet hit anything. Sure enough a pellet never made it out of the barrel and a managed to stack a few more behind it. :-[ So now i need to address that. The gun NEVER did anything like this before.

Thanks,I got a friend in FL who knows where one is ;D

Hey Microgunner how did your 89 stack up against your Smith&Wesson 41?
-
yeah we have noticed a trend. Avoid Winchester and Remington. Federal is always a safe bet

Thanks. That kind of where I was leaning but a friend was trying to talk me in to the Ameriglo with the fiber optics and Tritium. So far i am not fond of fiber sights. Just old fashioned I guess

Not much details but the fangs are replaced with titanium, special armor, cameras etc. They wont say what the breed is but they did mention jaw pressure. i would have loved to see Bin Laden rolling like a perp on cops
