  1. Well we are glad you came 8) We would have talked to you anyway, but this way we at least won't feel bad cause you can get all the stuff we can.
  2. I've spent since Saturday taking my neice who is in a Master Degree program for photography all around New Mexico. She has shot will over 1200 pictures with her SLR digital camera. Today I got a break she is in Santa Fe with a high school friend who is stationed here in the Air Force, good thing since I spent yesterday climbing around Spanish missions from the 1600s at 6-7,000 feet and I'm tired. :P She makes it look so easy and when she is explaining it I just nod alot, cause I ain't got a clue what she is talking about.
  3. The streak continues, I've never seen a 1911 I didn't like
  4. So how old is the rifle TM?
  5. Mine was a Marlin single shot Woodchuck or Chipmunk that a buddy gave me after he got a Marlin Model 60, I didn't have it long before I bought a 10/22 and I passed it on to a friend who was a Boy Scout Leader who wanted to teach his troop to shoot.
  6. Glad you joined us.
  7. I have the same probelm anytime someone uses the phrase new 1911, cause I want one of each
  8. welcome to the group!!!
  9. Are we going to have to do an intervention on you? >:D
  10. Very cool!
  11. Can't wait to see some of the reports on these.
  12. Now that I've drooled all over my keyboard :thumb:
  13. Have you ever accused your wife of being a tease? Well don't except at the right moment or it could backfire. >:D
  14. Thanks micro, I like the history of guns.
  15. Das ist kewl :thumb:
  16. Aha, now I see said the blind man to his deaf daughter over the disconnected telephone. >:D
  17. Sorry I don't get the reference. :-[
  18. Depending on the type of shooting sometimes I like to go alone. For instance if I'm shooting bolt action I prefer to go alone, I can completely lose myself in the mechanics and really concentrate on each part. Pistol shooting can be a fun group thing, unless I'm working on technique or trying a new drill. Semi-auto rifle is more fun with more than one, I want to get a dueling target and have someone to shoot against. I also want to find someone to teach me Sporting Clays which is definitely a more than one thing.
  19. Amazing how the human eye can be tricked with the right mix of colors and shapes.
  20. When my Mom comes to visit I usually go to the bar >:D
  21. >:D @ Micro I've kicked around different forums for many years, woodworking, scrollsawing, knives and shooting and all seem to have a spring slow down as we come out of hibernation. Then picks back up a bit after everyone gets their first good dose of the outdoors. I know I'm on the computer less this time of the year as I'm planting my garden, taking care of winter's ravages on my yard or just wanting to be out in the sun.
  22. Glad you joined us, as an amateur 10/22 tinkerer I'll be interested in what you say. :thumb:
  23. That is one of the reason I like Brownells and several others who let you tack on a few bucks for the NRA with each order. The NRA has a tool bar also and you can funnel money their way by just doing searches.
  24. That is possible to, Ruger has made a lot of exclusives over the years.
  25. No offense taken but I like my Fudd Gun ;D, not that in the long run it was any cheaper than the out of the box tacticool rifles.
