  1. My reverse flash suppressor from Black Rifle Works was here at the house when I got home tonite. To install it I had to turn my barrel thread converter's outside diameter down from 7/8'' to 3/4'', since the converter threads are inside the reverse suppressor. This I accomplished by mounting on a bolt, chucking in a drill and turning it with a file. After cleaning the adapter up, I cold blued it, threaded it tight on the Colt, and then put red thread locker on the 1/2'' X 28 threads inside the suppressor. When it sets up overnite I'll be able to turn the assembly off for maintnance and cleaning. It gives my Colt that 11 inch barrel look....LOL
  2. Mother????
  3. Tuner PUNK....CUT OFF HIS CAR KEY FINGERS....he'll kill a carload of children someday.... >:D

  5. cheaper than dirt carries a pretty good supply of mil-surplus.....
  6. I thought I smelled something on the west wind.....LOL
  7. the safest thing you can do is buy an inexpensive digital scale and weigh EVERY round after your reloading session. If you've double charged a round (and you will) this will enable you to pick it out of the pile and NOT out of your hand and face.... :o Harbor Freight, $20.00 or so
  8. Smurf I've got a NEF (H&R) .32 mag revolver, a '95 or so model made on antique tooling from H&R. A good shooter but OLD FASHIONED....Several makers chambered for this round but it never took off...
  9. Oh my!!!
  10. Well Guys after 7 MONTHS of being involved on this Forum I've got to say that I have not seen one instance on this board of negativity or personal attacks that I've experienced on other boards . It's like all you guys are like me, actually wanting to exchange gun info and friendship, not having to experience meaness expressed over the net for absolutely no reason at all. THANK YOU ALL! I have learned a lot from you guys and am looking forward to the future. SALUTE!!!!
  11. Boy the Colt /Umarex M4 donated some DNA on this item, I believe with a little modifying the Colt 30 rounder would fit this. The receivers look absolutely identical ('course they are based on the M4). I wonder if the 90 degree saftey would drop-in the Colt? I can't imagine that Walther would spend much time and resources retooling when with slight tweaking they could use the Colt stuff. If and when one becomes available my CEO has given the green light for the purchase. I really like the S&W's looks but I've heard so many UNFOUNDED attacks on my Colt/Umarex by the S&W slanted guys that I think I'll buy the Umarex offering just to spite 'em when I post about it.....Plus I just LIKE the metal construction- not that there's anything wrong about the polymer weapons. I think most if not all weapons operation problems originate with guys that are totally unfamiliar with the concept of breaking in the weapon. A weapon is an item consisting of 25-40 parts, made seperately and assembled into a complete item. In the real world every part going into this weapon varies slightly from ''spec''. Until these parts are run together several hundred times they will not operate smoothly and the arm, PARTICULARLY a .22 or a 1911 platform will NOT run smoothly or reliably. Obviously this statement does not take into account assembly adjustments or parts breakage, but the majority of new owner dissatisfaction stems I BELIEVE from not understanding this condition. Load-em up, don't aim or try to shoot one-holers, let fly and run 500-1000 rounds thru that joker and clean it up, tune it up and THEN enjoy shooting it..... NOTE: After rereading this post I should have put it in the ''rambling thread''.LOL
  12. barely crack the fitting and gravity bleed it. Keep a close eye and don't let the master cylinder run dry. Sometimes the master cylinder lines have to be cracked and bled like you are bleeding a wheel. With foot pressure on the pedal just barely crack the line fitting at the master cylinder. It sure sounds like you have some air in your system....When you replaced your pads did you collapse the piston completely? Did you take the cap off the master cylinder when doing so? Make sure the master cylinder is not overfull also.
  13. Looking Good!!!

  24. how many rounds have you shot thru your Colt? Any operating issues? Mine has really smoothed out, depending on how dirty the ammo is makes all the difference regarding any problems when firing. I've got about 3000 rounds thru mine, a very robust arm. No undue wear....
