I figure before I bother to tear my MP apart, I would ask you guys. How hard is it to remove the barrel from the receiver as to get it in a lathe ? I assume that it is pressed in and not threaded into the receiver ? If I can get it out 1/2-28 threads will be no problem.

OK . Im a bit new to these style of guns. I love my MP15-22. What size and pitch threads do they need ?

I recently had to man up and buy a new laptop after a meltdown of my 7 year old Dell. I got a killer deal on a Compaq computer I bought it a week before 7 was released. I was given the free upgrade to 7 with my purchase al I had to do was go on HP's site and register to get it. I am not all that unhappy with Vista for what I do it is treating me fine. I came from XP Pro, if I decide to run the upgrade I will certainly wait a while till a service pack or so is out there, I'm sure it wont take long.

Here is my 15-22 with my new Mako ergo grip and a Bipod 19.99. Grip has a small space where it meets the lower but its due to the fact that it goes up further toward the back than the stock one it fits nice and tight and feels great you can barely see the space I may fill it in with a small piece of rubber .

I had a lot of feed issues with Remington Golden Bullets in my MP 15-22 as well. The Federal bulk box ammo went through just fine. Too bad I have about 15 boxes of it, oh well my Beretta NEOS will get a work out. It loves them.

I had a lot of issues with them in mine, feed issues and a lot of misfire's. I had better luck with the Federal Bulk box.

I bought my wife a Taurus PT 22 Nickle with Pink Pearl grips. What a P.O.S. she would be well off to throw the gun at an attacker instead of a bullet. It was sent back twice and came back no better, the best it can do is to use Thunderbolt Lead non hollow point. You might get an entire mag through I stress MIGHT. I own two other Taurus guns a 24/7 9mm and Millineum Pro 745 compact 45 acp both are top notch guns so I was very dissapointed with this clunker.

Anyone else have one of the Lil' Tigers. Mine is a 22mag its fantastic if you want to conceal in a pair of shorts and a Tshirt. Accuracy is not exactly a major selling point but they are built nice and priced right.

I hear you AMMO SMURF, I have an older one in High School and dating. We took him along shooting on Labor day weekend, he did very well. I am quick to point out my access to heavy equipment and property no one travels. I cant scare him away. Keep your freinds close and your Daughters Boyfreinds closer

Like I said in my intoduction, I enjoy shooting with my Daughters. Here is my young one in action. She is sliding back on the rest but she has good hand positioning. She is quite a good shot and has a few targets stuck on her bedroom wall to show off. I figure it can only stand to help out with controling the young boys :thumb:

My Mom has one of these with the Laser on the pic rail. Shoots well is a bit particular on ammo though. It likes CCI the best.

I have had one for about 2 years. I thought it would be a good substitute for a Ruger MK II, that everyone seems to have. My Dad who is the coolest, took me to the shop where he had already paid for 2 of them his and mine. (Yes Dad bought it for me) :thumb: We have put quite literaly 10000 rounds easy between these guns. When using cheap bulk box ammo it needs a quick cleaning after about 300 rounds. Usually little more than a toothbrush with some Remoil on the ramp and bolt and you are back in bussiness. Accuracy and reliability are second to none. I highly recomend the NEOS

I am puting a ergo pistol grip on mine with a bipod. I am also looking into modifying or replacing the trigger. I will get a pic of grips once I recieve them.

Just found these forums. I purchased my S&W MP15-22 about a month ago. It is definetley fun I think my Daughters and I went through 3 550 boxes of ammo the first weekend. I am looking to lighten the trigger a bit I hear it is possible to swap for standard AR triggers. Wish me luck.
