Yes, it does co-witness perfectly but it's annoying(sp). I put an order in for the new Magpul sights which are on back order. I would like to flip them down out of the way. All in all the strikefire worked pretty nice for $150. I wish I would have remembered to bring the doubler though. Man this is fun stuff.
imschur - should I post a link then? Duh you said direct link........OK. Try these. http://i248.photobucket.com/albums/gg171/sn9550/100_3296.jpg http://i248.photobucket.com/albums/gg171/sn9550/100_3299.jpg http://i248.photobucket.com/albums/gg171/sn9550/100_3297.jpg http://i248.photobucket.com/albums/gg171/sn9550/100_3294.jpg
I have one on my M&P 15X. I've only used it twice. It works well for close in 30-50 yds as well as 100 yd shots. I haven tried it further than that. The reason I bought it was for the extra magnification at longer ranges (meaning 100-200 yds). It has an etched glass reticle and if the battery dies during the day you can still use it. It's deffinately tough but it is heavy. My M&P 15x weights 8.6 lbs with the scope. So it's a little heavy. Especially when you compare it to my Strikefire and 15-22 at 6.4lbs. Hope this helps! BTW I got it from Opticsplanet for $799.
Here is my 15-22 with Vortex Strike fire red/green dot, and Grip pod. I use the grip pod for bench shooting and a SOG fore grip for standing and kneeling. So far the scope works as advertiesed. I managed a 9/10" 3 shot group at 50 yards. I forgot to bring the 2x peice so I'll have to try that later [img width=800 height=600]http://i248.photobucket.com/albums/gg171/sn9550/100_3299.jpg [img width=800 height=600]http://i248.photobucket.com/albums/gg171/sn9550/100_3297.jpg [img width=800 height=600]http://i248.photobucket.com/albums/gg171/sn9550/100_3294.jpg
