40 rnds so far. cheap cci stuff at the range. Feed falures abound. Need to adjust buffer and try some super x. frustrating, but was smoothing out and seemed to do better during rapid fire. like it, just need better ammo.
I just put my first 40 rnds through mine at the range today. :thumb: and now i want to do a proper cleaning. I know 40 .is nothing but want to start good habits. Anyway, i cant open the receiver! I read about loosening the flash supressor, got the pin loose, but still cant get it open!? help! :o Thanks in advance.
thanks everyone! Madhouse, yes i am currently on coronado. more specifically the Nimitz. you? i was going to mess around and put my flip up rear sight from one of my airsoft guns on my AR-22 tonight but got distracted watching the big lebowski. past my bedtime (duty tomorrow) just thought i'd pop on before i passed out. i'll try to post a pic in the proper thread when i stick that sight on. thanks again for the warm welcome!
temecula, CA here. pinned 30rnd mag. not my first "tactical" rimfire. i've also got a ruger 10/22 with muzzelite bullpup conversion. just curious if my 25rnd butler creek mag would be considered "pre-ban" as it was purchased early 90's? hmm... anyway i will be making visits to the range in rainbow soon. just got my colt AR-22 yesterday!
 Hey everyone! name is Chris. been raised on 22's and just cant put them down. my pop started me off on a ruger 10/22 when i was old enough to hold it up. hooked on rimfire ever since. between my dad and i, we've got a ruger mkII, AR-7 pistol, walther TPH, the already mentioned ruger 10/22 that's got a muzzelite bullpup conversion and a butler creek 25rnd mag. then last night my father in law came over and told me to sit at the dinner table and close my eyes, dont look until he says "open them". i hear wrustling of carboard and a familiar smell of... saddle oil? no- GUN OIL. "open them." OH MY GOD!!! it was a brand new Colt AR-22! the collection grows and also proves further that i have the most awesome father in law on the planet. havent shot it yet but i cant friggin wait. i've always liked the feel of the M4 and this is as close as i can get to the real thing here in california. i own a couple of M4 airsofts (marui) and used an M16a2 during some training in fort jackson, SC. (btw i am active duty navy going on 10 years now) i am looking forward to seeing what kind of goodies i can get for this colt, both for functional improvement (if needed?) and for tactical enhancement... (optics, RIS, etc...) cool forums here and cant wait to interact with you all!
