i've kinda trended away from the electric guns and preferring the gas ones more. it gives more "realism", although the electric ones deck out just the same. i like the blowback though since it gives me a feeling that im actually shooting something and having a moving bcg is a plus. it also locks back on the last shot and working bolt stop is pretty darn sweet. take down is the same as a real ar and many of the ar parts fit with no issues, stocks, grips, rails and so on. i've seen guys throw thousands of dollars into their gas blowbacks.

@asmurff check these out: http://www.evike.com/product_info.php?products_id=41665 http://www.evike.com/product_info.php?products_id=39321 it's like assembling a real ar15 but uses gas, you will have to get green gas or a propane adapter and use propane from those coleman camping things or whatever. there are alot of topics on it, cheap to shoot and fun to build. i just built the tan one, but sold it shortly after to fund my Noveske lower since i was able to find one at non scalper prices. It was about $250 shipped and then whatever else you want to add on such as bbs or the adapter and stuff. no battery charging and a very nice blowback to it. everything functions similar to a real ar so would be a good training weapon also. dont forget to use couponcode: evike2013 to get 20% off which makes it around $250 shipped.

oh boy, this will be a fun forum =) havn't been on in a while. with the ammo crunch i almost considered selling the colt since i threw it back it's factory configuration for the time being, but seeing as how all the price gougers seem to be running low on funds and are giving up on trying to sell high priced items since the panic buying has died a bit, im back on the .22 modifcation crunch again. i'll have to get some pics up in the modification forum soon of my progress. @techmike, check out evike, they have some killer deals with 20% off on AEGs (automatic electric guns) G&P brand offers some very realistic replicas. Price is a bit more, but you're paying for quality. i'll have to post some pics of my .223/5.56 build also lol. it took forever to source for parts because of the panic buyers, but i was able to get everything for pre panic pricing lol.

i cashed in and sold my .223 for a handsome profit along with multiple parts i had laying around for double to triple what they were worth. was able to get my hands on a few 60 rounder surefires locally from an actual good shop that wasn't price gouging and sold them on Gunbroker for a profit also. im just holding onto my money for the hype to blow over to pick up some new toys. im not buying into the whole gun ban hype as this could take several months to finalize if anything is done. my buddy even cash in on his bushmaster and all his ammo and used mags. it's crazy what people would pay for the things. oh well, obama has become the world's best gun salesman and stimulated our economy with this crazy spending haha.

if you still need the conversion pieces i can get it for you. it wont be a factory umarex one, but is pretty much the same thing since it's all airsoft parts.

@ airsoft atlanta. yes the madbull ones are superb for fitment and quality. on these colt 22's and can handle the almost non existent heat. i would not recommend using it for any higher caliber such as .223/5.56 or even a 9mm conversion but for the 22 with almost no recoil the rails and other parts fit perfect and are a fraction of some of the replacement parts from Umarex themselves. i've tried the so called ACM rails for the umarex and 1.) the fitment sucked 2.) worst quality pot metal i've ever seen produced. i would recommend buying the madbull licensed ones from either airsoft atlanta, airsoft gi, or even evike. they all provide superb service and fast shipping and even coupon codes to make your purchase even cheaper. -
the aeg asap will fit! i have tried all sling mounts made for airsoft and they all fit. to remove the buffer unscrew the cap on the back of tube and use a long allen key to remove the bolt holding it onto the receiver. no need to remove the nut on the buffer tube like a real ar15, it's their to be decorative lol.

LOOKS GOOD!!! as for airsoft junk, yes there is airsoft junk, and there's the quality airsoft stuff that cost more and is actually licensed by the real steel counterparts. anything that is properly licensed is normally the top notched products in the airsoft world while you can find a ton of the cloned knock off junk that is not worth it unless you're shooting plastic bbs lol. -
HK416 Pistol Buffer Tube/Buttstock?
vlhoang replied to Herp Derp's topic in HK 416 D .22 Tactical Rimfire
if you can take a pic of area where the buffer would mount on, inside and out. i can tell you what you need. i never had personal experience with one so hard to say. you can use most airsoft accessories such as buffer tubes, sling plates, rails, and so on these guns since they share common body parts. but please check your local laws before slapping a buffer on that pistol to make sure it's legal to do so or obtaining the proper documentation to do so. otherwise the information i provide is strictly educational purposes only lol. -
although it does not look to fit. very little shaving and fitting needs to be done to the airsoft receiver to make it work. im currently working on a new project with a vltor VIS monolithic receiver and i've shortend my m16 20" barrel down to 16" and rethreaded it. i am considering making it an SBR, but time will tell lol. new project pics will be up soon. this time i will make a detailed tutorial on how i made it work!

you can use an airsoft sling mount and buffer tube just in case anyone wanted to know =)

they are normally made of a similar metal to our colt receivers. they are pretty tuff and can with stand the heat from a 22. put a box of 550 through my rifle in one sitting and the rail still stayed cool to the touch.
