I ended up switching to G19 mags and the sleeve for larger use. Works the treat and zero issues with feeds or tilt. Although I still have my standard pair of g26 mags with finger tips for ultra c carry. I just built an airsoft blue gun trainer as well that matches identical. Now if I could just get a 22 version haha
I've always used AO Adjustable Objective AirGun scopes. The ones made to withstand double recoil from spring guns and have smaller 1/8 moa adjustments. had great luck with them on 22 rifles. Especially at the closer ranges. I have a 2-7x32 md recticle on order now to test.
I've found with a bit of tuning most blowback 22s can be adjusted to run regular load ammo as well. In particular polishing rails, slides and such and using final finish 22 fire bore lapping.
Already told the wife to pick some up for you. Still, you should try and come over to pick it up yourself (and shoot here on the Farm before I move back to Florida.) Maybe stop by on your way to shot show if your cheap boss will fund it? haha
I swap out the 22 for same distances as regular centerfire, so anywhere from ~ 7 to 20 yards with the pistol and ~ 7 to 100 yards with the rifle. Of course sometime a tad closer or further depending on what drills I'm doing or speed. I do find I tend to use reduced size targets more often with the rimfire in order to get them in closer so i can see shots on the paper. I'm a fan of shooting steel as well. Mostly because I'm lazy and hate swapping paper or other targets much. I also have the advantage of having a private set of ranges on the farm here in good old Virginia.
Hi all, I'm a good friend of Wild Bill who thought it was a good idea I joined up. Looks like a good bunch here. I'm based in Northern Virginia USA at the moment. Used to live in Florida a few years ago when Wild Bill lived there. I'm a private security contractor and shooting/tactical instructor. I'm now specializing in using airsoft for reality based training RBTwA but use the 22 as part of the training cycle as well. The 22 is one of my favorite firearm calibers and as cost increases in centerfire it gets to be more so. Cheers Rob
