Madhouse
I just bought a collapsible stock for my GSG-5 from a guy on another board. He shipped it today, so I'll be able to put it on next week. The video below shows how to install.
steel609
Can you fit a folding or collapsible stock to the pistol models?
Madhouse
Can you fit a folding or collapsible stock to the pistol models? No!!! At least not without a tax stamp from the BATFE!!!That would make the gun a short-barreled rifle (SBR) and illegal to own with being registered as such with the BATFE. steel609
That's what I thought. What about installing a pistol barrel + a silencer to make the required length on a rifle?I just ordered a threaded barrle for my Browning Buckmark to add a silencer and I want to get a rifle that I can fit a silencer to without being a 4 foot rifle barrel. Madhouse
Sorry man, you'll have to consult the BATFE rules.
Popcop45
The 16" minimum ATF requires has to be 'one piece'. That is why I chose GSG's MP5 over Umarex's. You can't SBR a Umarex carbine. The ATF stamp is $200.00 and you must follow the Form1 instructions to the letter, or your application will be rejected and you will be out $200.00. Kilibreaux
Yes you can fit a stock--ANY stock to the pistol version. The legal issues surrounding doing so have nothing to do with whether the stock will physically fit...it will.
Longitude Zero
Yes it will fit but just because it fits does not mean it is a good idea. The last thing we need is folks running afoul of the law and giving the anti's any ammunition to use agaisnt us.
