steel609
I have this kit. It has worked very well. Minimal failures, maybe 5 in 1000rds. I have shot Federal bulk pack ammo through mine exclusively, and I am impressed with the reliability. I love it.With that being said, now that I have bought my S&W 15-22,and will probably buy the Colt/Umarex version as well, I will probably sell this kit, as I know I will never shoot it again. Madhouse
steel - were the few failures that you had feeding issues? Like with regular lead bullets versus plated?
steel609
Yes. I have not had any of my Federal bulk ever fail. The failures were with Remington lead.I no longer have anything but Federal bulk at my house. But I do have about 10,000 rounds ready to go. 8)
Kilibreaux
Plated should be the ONLY choice for one's "survival stash" of ammo! My GSG and Ciener 1911 conversion, and 10/22, and Walther P22 all shoot lead bullet loads just fine, but the plated ammo always seems to run cleaner. When one only shoots a few magazines the difference isn't obvious but run several hundred through and the lead loads definitely seem to leave more potentially gun-jamming crud behind. Hoss
I don't know, Kilibreau. Off hand, I'nd agree with you, just makes sense the plated stuff would be cleaner. However, my weapon prefers the lead projectiles. I'm guessing they obturate very well, and they are very reliable even in quantity.
