MK22=pistol in Michigan

Yesterday I went to sleep in Michigan and woke up in California.

Actually, what happened is that I went to pick up my new MK22 and learned that because with the stock removed it was less than 26 inches long, it is classified as a pistol in Michigan and one other State. So, I have to go back with a Pistol purchase permit. They shipped it with the stock removed, and it folds back.  Hence, the classification as a pistol.

Didn't Ohio used to be part of Conn.'s Western Reserve?  Now Conn. wants to export bad gun laws out west. Bet Texasdies not have these problems.
