imschur
I found this today. With my internet down and browsing via the phone painful I decided to see if there was a way to use my mobile phone with my pc. Sure enough a program called PDAnet solves the problem. Simply download the app for your phone and then for your pc. Follow the on screen instructions and youll be browsing in no time.
asmurff
Is there a "Cha Ching" involved?
imschur
Depends on your data plan. Im unlimited. I think its worth doing just for emergency's alone.
Madhouse
I use that, I tether to my BlackBerry whenever I'm not in a network'd area. I just use regular bluetooth channels though. I just connect to the phone, control it, use the dial-up networking and bam, interweb-enabled.
asmurff
I guess I'll always be a generation or two of cell phones behind. I have a Samsung Blackjack which allowed me to stop carrying both a cell phone and PDA, I've had it for at least 3 years. Does what I want it to do, without any high cost. My portion of our 100-150 dollar monthly bill is less than 20 the rest is her and her smart phone.
Madhouse
I just take what the company gives me. If I didn't have this work phone, I wouldn't have a cell phone at all.
