hkm4 Posted October 27, 2009 Report Posted October 27, 2009 Anybody know if our rifle stocks are Mil-spec or commercial? I couldn't accurately measure it so i figured I'd ask someone who already knew...
hkm4 Posted October 27, 2009 Author Report Posted October 27, 2009 So I'm going to answer my own question and give some insight for all who cares. After researching online, our colt m4 is mil-spec - BUT it's a bit smaller than standard mil spec (in my understanding). So if you ordered a Magpul CTR stock or any after market stock I think, there MIGHT be a little play and it might still be a little wobbly. I guess our rifle isn't a REAL M4 so a lot of the aftermarket upgrades and goodies won't fit right out of the box - as techmike will tell you in regards to a pistol grip. Oh well, should've guessed...
asmurff Posted October 27, 2009 Report Posted October 27, 2009 Hey thanks for the research, more and more I'm looking at doing a heavily modified 10/22.
snakeeater77 Posted March 30, 2010 Report Posted March 30, 2010 Alil black tape will tighten up a bit
tomstone Posted July 14, 2010 Report Posted July 14, 2010 I got the Magpul CTR Stock (Mil-Spec), mine does not "wobble" but goes back n forth on the tube a couple mils, now compared to the stock it came with, that thing wobbled!
