Will those really do much on a 7.62x51? Do you need to fill it with a liquid for it to work?

Well it is rated for 7.62x51 but I bought it for subsonic 300 Blackout loads. From what I read most suppressors benefit from a little liquid, especially on the fist shot.

I dont have a 7.62x51 weapon that can have a threaded muzzle. Should I aquire a preban AR-10 or a bolt action .308 I will get a suitable suppressor. AAC has one for 300 Win mag. I have plans for that caliber so that might be a better and pricier option.
