Pirate Posted July 16, 2012 Report Posted July 16, 2012 Perry's Guns in Wendell, NC had a big Ruger sale on Friday and Saturday with Ruger factory reps onsite. I stopped by and left the store with the last 3 NIB 10/22's and paid $179 each and got some nice freebies also form the Ruger reps. I had been having trouble finding 10/22's lately for projects I had in mind so I jump all over this and finished a little project this morning. I had wanted to do another M1 carbine replica build for my son since they have been a big hit at every event I have shot them. I may do some trigger/sear work on this one in the future but I have found that this setup work really well for Appleseeds and 2 gun matches. The dummy mag is epoxied to the base of a standard rotary 10/22 mag and is just for looks but it does make mag removal and reloads faster.Total cost for this build is about $330 including the rifle at $179for comparison original M1 Carbine
asmurff Posted July 16, 2012 Report Posted July 16, 2012 The M1 Carbine 10/22 project is one I've been thinking about.Citadel/Legacy makes one also, but I haven't had a chance to check one out.
