cmscoltm4
Hay guys I have a newer colt m4 carbine and was wondering if anyone else has lose take down pins? I can push my out with my finger and there is play between the upper and lower. The gun only has 1000 rounds threw it and has been cleaned twice .
wobblinwheel
Is your flash-suppressor tight? Make sure it is. Make sure your pistol grip is tight too. Long allen wrench that came with the rifle I think fits the grip bolt.
cmscoltm4
Thanks wobblinwheel I checked the bolt that holds the grip on and it was a tad lose . I also tightend the muzzle brake just a tad bit more and seems pretty good now.
mcheath
Mine tends to loosen up after a lot of firing and then I can push the pins out as well. Tightening fixes it.
cmscoltm4
mcheath does your gun have any play between the upper and lower at all .
mcheath
No, none at all. There is a slight gap at the back of the receivers where the upper meets the lower, but no wiggle or movement.
