asmurff Posted January 15, 2013 Report Posted January 15, 2013 How do you keep magazine pouches in one place on a duty style gun belt?
asmurff Posted January 16, 2013 Author Report Posted January 16, 2013 Web. This is a belt with mag pouches, light holder and holster I leave hanging near my 92FS for quick grab if need be. since it is hanging on a hook everytime a pick it up the mag pouches are where gravity has taken them. I've seriously thought about putting a rivet through the pouch and belt to secure it, but was hoping for something less destructive and permanent.
wobblinwheel Posted January 17, 2013 Report Posted January 17, 2013 Can a small nylon wire (zip) tie be used? I use them for everything. I even used them and a leather punch to hold the sleeves on my old Harley motorcycle jacket when the thread went south.

techmike Posted January 17, 2013 Report Posted January 17, 2013 Seems like you could put an ALICE clip on either side of the pouch - that should keep it from wandering around.
asmurff Posted January 17, 2013 Author Report Posted January 17, 2013 Tried the ALICE clips didn't work >:( , shame because I have lots of those.
asmurff Posted January 18, 2013 Author Report Posted January 18, 2013 Ended up using a zip tie. Took an awl, put a hole in the magazine pouch strap and belt then fed the tie through them. Works like a charm and easily removed if needed.
wobblinwheel Posted January 19, 2013 Report Posted January 19, 2013 I knew it! There ain't NOTHIN' (except women) you can't fix with zip ties and/or duct tape!
asmurff Posted January 19, 2013 Author Report Posted January 19, 2013 I'm not commenting on women and zip ties >:D
wobblinwheel Posted January 19, 2013 Report Posted January 19, 2013 Oh, go ahead. If you're scared, say you're scared!
